Second Step
If our offer is accepted, we would arrange a convenient day, time for the removal to take place with the client and discuss any further questions you may have. We would require an inventory of goods for all cross-border moves. If moving within Gibraltar an inventory for your own personal reference is highly recommended. In addition, boxes which contain fragile items should be clearly marked, however we will discuss this in more detail in order to make for a smooth transition.

Removals Gibraltar to Spain
As Gibraltar is outside of the European Community for Customs purposes, it is a requirement that IVA be paid on any goods entering Spain from Gibraltar. This is a policy set by the Spanish custom authorities as any goods entering Spain are essentially crossing into the EEC, therefore European duty (IVA) needs to be paid.
The percentage to be paid in total is 19.5 % (16% IVA and 3.5% Arancel) on the value of the goods. As a result it is essential that you provide a list of goods being transported into Spain and a total second-hand value (note, each individual item of value e.g. TV, Sofa, Fridge needs to be individually valued).
Regardless, the Spanish Customs Authorities are in their rights to re-evaluate any goods being moved from Gibraltar to Spain themselves.
It is essential that that the owner of the goods, or an appointed representative for the removal, must be present at the time of crossing the border. You will be required to present your passport to the Spanish Customs Authorities and pay the import duty (IVA) in Euros and in cash.
